Emergency Management

The East Brunswick Office of Emergency Management is responsible for administering a program of comprehensive emergency management designed to reduce the vulnerability of citizens to damage, injury, and loss of life and property from natural or man-made disasters by providing a system for mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.

The office is responsible for the township's Emergency Operations Center. Additionally, the office develops the township's Emergency Operations Plan and implements training programs and exercises to enhance the plan's effectiveness.

The office has a Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) team and Its mission is to provide a variety of professional unpaid volunteer skills, including administrative, technical and operational, for emergency tactical, administrative and logistical communications. The team operates on 146.550 csq at 7 pm every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.
