East Brunswick Mayor David Stahl will host the 2nd Annual Dining for a Cause community fund raiser on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at East Brunswick’s Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road. Does charity really begin at home? Mayor Stahl is hoping that East Brunswick residents recognize the importance of giving to community causes by supporting this event.
We'll begin at 6:30 with a light buffet and then at 8:00 p.m. we go into Playhouse 22's state-of-the-art theater for a Broadway-quality production of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING.
Many citizens and volunteer organizations in our community are facing uncertain times and Mayor Stahl wanted to do something during his term as East Brunswick’s Mayor to help. Dining for a Cause is an event to encourage people to make a donation toward these causes and in return enjoy a night out with good food and entertainment. All proceeds will benefit community and charitable causes in East Brunswick such as continuing the Township’s free summer concerts and family programming, the Township’s food bank (people are hungry all year long), summer camp scholarships for at-risk kids, and not to be forgotten are our soldiers at Menlo Park Home. East Brunswick does not want to become a community that does not help OR give back to its residents.
A donation of $50 per person gets you in the door for a casual evening of dining and theater. 100 seats have been reserved so make your reservations now.
This is a perfect way for friends to reconnect with each other after the long, hot summer; couples can enjoy a casual evening out without the pressure of traveling far; families can reunite in a fun and rewarding way.
To reserve your seat, contact Carol in the Mayor’s Office at 732-390-6810 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 732-390-6810 end_of_the_skype_highlighting. Please make checks payable to “East Brunswick Township” and mail to East Brunswick Municipal Building, Attn: Mayor’s Office, P.O. Box 1081, East Brunswick, NJ 08816-1081.
